Few days ago, Mummun Dutta popularly known as Babita ji use some Rasist word slur “BHANGI” in a Youtube Video. Later she had apologised for it and said it was a language barrier. #Arrestmunmundutta was trending on twitter and Memers were making memes on it. “This is in reference to a video that I posted yesterday where in one word used by me has been misinterpreted. It was never said with the intent to insult, intimidate, humiliate or hurt anyone’s feelings,” She wrote these words in her apology and accepted her mistake. According to her, She was misinformed from the real meaning of this word and blamed on language barrier.

And said “Because of my language barrier, I was genuinely misinformed about the meaning of the word. Once I was made aware of its meaning I immediately took the part down. I have utmost respect for every single person from every caste, creed or gender and acknowledge their immense contribution to our Society or nation.”

Many FIRs were Registered against Munmun dutta for using this appropriate word. But The supreme court stayed with them. Now Munmun dutta’s absence is linked with this controversy. And the rumours that Munmun Dutta is quitting the show is viral among the fans and everyone is curious and want to know Why she want to left the popular show “Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah” through which she became so much popular and popularly known as Babitaji.

Producer’s Statement

The Producer of the show “Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah” Asit Modi denied all the rumours and all the fake reports. He told ETimes, “Munmun Dutta continues to remain part of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah as Babita ji. Any rumors about her quitting the show are baseless and incorrect.”
